Broccoli with Parmesan and Walnuts

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 head broccoli
  • 1 clove garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp grated lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup parmesan, grated
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted and chopped

Steps

  1. 1In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high. Add broccoli, trimmed and cut into florets, and cook until broccoli begins to brown, 4 minutes. Add garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until broccoli is crisp and tender and garlic begins to brown, 3 minutes.
  2. 2Add red pepper flakes, season with salt and pepper, and transfer to serving bowl. Toss with lemon zest, lemon juice, parmesan, and walnuts. Serve warm or at room temperature.
